We invite you to join TGH in prayer and support of Pray March Act, a Christian civic discipleship coalition dedicated to helping churches understand the root causes of injustice in New York City and mobilizing them to pray, march, and act for policies and practices that promote justice. Beyond raising awareness, PMA fosters a prayerful and engaged Christian response to the challenges our city is facing.
As part of this mission, PMA is launching a new initiative: inter[sessions]. These ongoing gatherings will bring together Christians from across the city to explore pressing issues and identify ways to effect meaningful change. True to its name, inter[sessions] will place a strong emphasis on intercessory prayer—recognizing that the pursuit of justice is beyond human effort alone. We believe prayer should guide and coincide with education and action as we strive for a more just and compassionate city.
On Monday, March 24, PMA is hosting a special time of prayer and reflection, considering the latest updates on immigration and deportations in our city. Legal advocates and activists will share about the current situation and how we, as Christians, can respond, followed by a time of intercessory prayer for our city, its leaders, and our immigrant and migrant family, friends, and neighbors. We fully support the important work they’re doing and encourage you to attend if you're looking for a way to put your faith into action and engage with the needs of our city.
