Charles Wolford III, Lead Pastor

Hey everyone, my name is Charles Wolford III, and I am originally from Wichita, KS where I was raised by my parents as they served in ministry. My journey of faith became personal when I gave my life to Christ in 2011 as a sophomore on the campus of Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA. From then on I have been passionate about creating safe spaces for the next generation to encounter the truth of the gospel. After my time at Morehouse I moved to Dallas, TX in 2014 to serve at my father's church and pursue my masters in Christian Ministry at Dallas Baptist University. Upon completing my masters in 2017, I became the youth & young adults pastor at Koinonia Christian Church in Arlington, TX. In 2020 I married my wife, Jordan Wolford.

In December of 2020, we pursued an opportunity to plant a church in NYC and moved to Harlem to begin the work. We also started attending a local church, The Gathering Harlem, and immediately found a place of community, mentorship and sound teaching that we could learn from as we planted our church. Little did I know that 4 years later the Lord would call me to become the lead pastor of TGH. I am honored to serve our church, and I'm looking forward to what the Lord has in store for our future.
